you will not find a thing.
Existence is an illusion;
emptiness is real.
Yet existence and emptiness
are
identical.

This is a very simple statement
of via negativa and non-duality.
Had i read it fifty years ago
it would have appeared to be
sheer nonsense --
words randomely strung together,
grammatically correct perhaps,
but without possible meaning.
Wnat has changed?
I have been introduced gradually
to those ideas, and
they have become familiar..
Even before quantum mechanics,
i was taught that things
are not as they appear to my senses.
The solid things like wood and steel,
if examined closely would disappear
into an unseen world of molocules and atoms,
more similar to each other
than the things which they construct..
They said solids were mostly empty space
as were liquids, plasmas, and gasses.
But they made us sit on wooden seats,
in front of wooden desks
and a slate blackboard.
Just how does one become one
with non-duality?
