Ancestry? One Hundred Percent African.

Our daughters are going to check out their genetic background through Ancestry.com and have asked me to give up some DNA  so they can check mine out also,  I told them to go ahead, but i think that i can tell them more about their ancestry than ancestry.com. can.

They are 37,5 percent Dutch, 25 percent German. 25 percent Scandinavian (Mostly Norwegian and Danish), and 12.5 percent English  (well maybe a little more English mixed in with the Scandinavians and Germans: -- those English speakers are always  making inroads everywhere).

I am pretty sure about the Norwegian part.  My daughters have one of the longest geneologies ever constructed, going back to early twelvth century Norway -- 26 generations give or take one or two.
I have seen geneologies perporting  to go back to the ninth century, and even to the sixth day of creation.
But all those trees, imo, depend on aristocracy and liberal use of myth and legent.  My daughters' tree has no aristocrats and no suspecious gaps and no mythological warriors.

But there was a time, more than 2500 but less than 3500 years ago when there were no English, Dutch, or Scandinavians.  There were only a bunch of Germanic speaking tribes, stuggling with Celts, Slavs, Latins, Albanians, Balts and Greeks  (plus a few Basques, Asians, and Africans) for space in Europe. And before that, they were part of a proto-Indo-European linguistic community that probably  centered just  southeast of present day Moscow.  And before that there were only homo s. sapiens (with an unknown but probably small input from Neanderthals).  And Homo S. Sapiens originated in Africa.

So my geneology, if it is not faulty, will show that i am 100% African; and so, most likely, are you.  And i am your cousin, many times removed.

Yes. I wonder if DNA will detect that my mother and father were close relatives?
