Update Update -- Stay Tuned

Dianne is breathing better today.  So we will experiment with lowering her supplemental oxygen a bit.  And!!!
We discovered a small break in her  oxygen tubing which has, of course, been replaced.  She is asleep now, but i can hardly wait to try the fresh tubing.

Thank you! Things do seem to be looking up a little. Tried less oxygen for a while, but ended up boosting it at days end to the high recent levels. We will try again tomorrow. Dianne insists that she is breathing well and only loses oxygenation when very tired. How can i debate the quality of someone else's breathing.

Well, at least you found a primary care doc that will take new patients. That's a good sign.

Today we are back to square one on the oxygen. All i can figure is that the allergies that have kept her nostrils and sinuses clogged, must have freed up just long enough to allow A few good readings.

Dianne has an appointment with her beloved and very competent pulmonologist in three weeks; and i expect her to make things all better.

I finally pulled up my big girl pants and faced the challenge* of finding Dianne a "primary" doctor. I believe we have found one. Can't get an appointment until November, but that is not a bad thing.

* Possibly because of autism or because of whatever childhood trauma brought out my stuttering, certain interpersonal interactions cause me to panic or nearly go catatonic. These occasions are usually quite ordinary, according to most people's standards.

Oh my Bobby. Sorry to read about the setback and glad to read about the steps forward. I cannot imagine what this is like for Dianne and for you as you continue so lovingly to be the primary caregiver for Dianne. I am remembering you both every day. -Jeff

Dianne is wonderful through all this. She remains calm and rolls easily with the punches life throws at her. She is happy to be alive and ready to die. With her Catholic piety she has achieved serenity and enlightenment that i can barely dream of getting in my struggle. I would describe her as almost without ego. bearing what there is to bear, enjoying what there is to enjoy, We are so grateful for your prayers and the prayers and good thoughts of all my friends.

This is likely the most beautiful words I have read by way of a tribute from a husband to his beloved wife. Would it be alright to quote your words in something I may write in the future?

Well, if the way i string words together might be useful, be all means use anything i say any way you deem discreet. Dianne knows i keep an online journal and that i sometimes write about her. But everything i write is without her knowledge or permission. I will mention this to her and get back to you.

Thank you Bobby. I look forward to hearing back from you at your convenience.

She says yes, use the words.
