Update Update

Its the end of another day which has passed without difficulty.  Higher than prescribed levels of oxygen intake are still necessary to  maintain adequate oxygenation levels in the blood.  I think Dianne may be just a little stronger than yesterday, her hands shake less and she has better control over what she handles.  Everything is o,k.

Each of the kids called or came over to tell  me they loved me.  Younger daughter sent a bouquet of fruit and called.  Son also called and we chatted for about twenty minutes.  Older daughter bought a picture of my three brothers.

The photograph was an enlargement of one taken around 1950.  Two tall boys are identically dressed; they look  like twins but they are not.  A shorter slender boy is standing between them; he is the twin of one of the tall boys.  The twin sister of the other boy is not in the picture.  The shorter boy is my brother, Boyd.  I think that he was almost as isolated from  the rest of the family as i felt i was.  I have just two very breif memories of him.  Unlike the rest of us, he did not go to  college.  He headed east, went to work for the  railroad, married, had two kids, divorced, remarried the same woman and was crushed to death between two railroad cars.  He was. i think, 26.  I learned of his death weeks later.  I never met my niece and nephew who are in their mid fifties now.  I will treasure this picture as i was too isolated and self centered to treasure him.
