Hospital, Day 6

When i got to the hospital at 1:30 pm, Dianne had had some physical therapy. some occupational therapy and a bath.  I got there just in time to watch a second round of pt.  She walked a few steps on her walker and rode a stationary"bike" for ten minutes.  She looked good.  She said she was not tired but the rest of the day was spent quietly.  We ate dinner, watched Jeopardy and WOF then i headed home to watch "Grimm" which i always watch and  always watch alone.  That show and "The Bridge" are two of my guilty pleasures.  (Too bad The Bridge will not be back for a second season; well, it was terribly violent and was doing nothing good for U.S. Mexico relations.  Mr. Kim must not watch as much American media as we think he does, else why so much fuss over "The Interview" a uniformly lousy movie i hear told.)

Tomorrow will be a quiet day, so i will try to get there early.  That was my intention this morning.  I threw on a robe about 7ish and brought in the paper, spread the paper out on the table at the puzzle section, then spread myself out over the paper.  I woke up a half-hour later, told myself i'd better get moving then dropped my face down on  the table.  This scenario was repeated for about the next four hours.

We are not cards, flowers, or surprises people so i had to decide between candy and a kiss for 2/14.Candy is a no-no and kisses are cheap, so i've settled on sugarless candy (and a kiss).  Incidentally, response to my writer's block reply on "pick up lines" was quite surprising.  Almost nobody comments on the stuff that i  think should be interesting and demand comment; but lots of comment on the personal stuff which i am at a loss as to what  to say in response.  Just "thank you," i guess.  Am i that "different from  other people."?

Anyway, progress is being made and i  am very encouraged!

Good for Dianne! I0m not sure *I* could manage a stationary bike for 10 minutes!

I think most of us like to see the human angle of those we interact with here, the personal angle. It makes you all more real. I often read your religious/philosophical posts but am at a loss very often because I don't relate to all that as well as I do to you as a person, a fellow human being, if that makes sense. It is in the small everyday things that we are able to know each other.
