I love to hear and read creation stories. There can't be to many to suit me and the more varied they are the better. Having to choose between science and Genesis is stiflingly narrow. Tribal and ethnic stories, science fiction stories, science stories, religious stories, philosophical stories, and my own imagination provide a treasure house of possibilities to choose from and speculations about how things might have come to be as there are. I understand that different stories serve different purposes. Some try to answer questions that maybe are answerable. Other stories address unanswerable questions that we feel in our hearts must have answers. And some stories are just fun or meant to temporarily quench the curiosity of children.
Younger daughter and younger granddaughter were in town most of last week and spent several hours with us, sometimes accompanied by older daughter who also drove me to the ophthalmologist last Tuesday. It was so good to have them here for a while.
Healthwise, Dianne is about the same, quiet, uncomplaining, relatively pain free, still with a lot of congestion in her sinuses and throat, and still requiring more than the prescribed level of supplemental oxygen. She is not very regular about medications, breathing treatments, and baths; she is getting more disciplined about the former two. No, it is not dementia, just stubbornness, which is a family trait. Signs of confusion are always related to low oxygen saturation. So it goes, and all is well.
