Where there is no sense of the world,
What can one preach of true and false?
Whose birth, act, form, or name is there?
What boundary, where there is no town?
Akha, where there is no body to begin with,
The indivisible remains, as is.

It has been remarked that mystical poetry often reads like erotica, (e.g.The Song of Solomon).
I think the reverse is also true.  I read a poem by Akka in which the world ceases to exist, and
suddenly a song by Hank Cochran (sung by Eddie Arnold) that i haven't heard in forty years, starts playing in my head.
