Today i went to my post-op on the hernia repair (perfect!!!)
and my pre-op on cataract surgery (not so much)

The possibilities for improvement are much lower than for the average person (because of macular degeneration)
and the risks of something going wrong are a little higher.
vision in my left eye is now 20/70 and the best improvement i can expect is to 20/40
Actually that is a much greater difference than it appears
Because of the macular degeneration, i cannot read anything at 20/70
At 20/40 i could read pretty well in spite of the macular degeneration.
This is overall such a low risk procedure that i am going ahead with it on the 19th.
