John O'Donohue : Poems and Biography

One of the great gifts of watching the poetry-chaikhana website is the discovery of poets i had not heard of before.  Mary Oliver, i have known for a while, but in the last three years, Rumi, Kabir, T.S. Eliot, and many others have changed from strangers or acquaintances to friends.  This week i add the late Irish poet, John O'Donohue to my list of favorite "sacred poets.".

John O'Donohue : Poems and Biography

Fifteen of his poems are on the above website, everyone a gem.  I posted one last week on appreciating the day that is here now.  But i now find that i cannot choose a favorite John O'Donohue poem.  He is described as Catholic, Contemporary, and Secular.  But here "Catholic" truly means "universal."  Enjoy.
