Writer's Block: Peace of mind

What kind of spiritual or meditative practice keeps you feeling zen?

Well, i am not "kept feeling zen.,"  but i have had moments of connection to the mystery which came with feelings of calm, and joy and all-right-ness.  These moments have usually come uninvited and unexpected; so it is possible that all i need is the ability to recognize them when they occur. and the ability to wait.  This happens when i wait with an open and empty mind, without faith or hope, accepting that nothing might happen or that NOTHING might happen.  I think this is close to what Buddhists call zazen and Christians call contemplative prayer.  Just be quiet!.  When it comes to the mystery which is at the root of our all-right-ness, my powers of thought are not up to it, so i must wait without thought; and i must wait without words, so i have already written too much,
