Dianne in rehab

Late this afternoon, Dianne was moved into the physical rehabilitation section of the hospital.  The best possible outcome given our options!
This means that she is considered strong enough to undergo the more vigorous therapy that the hospital provides.  Two years ago, after breaking her hip, she was farmed out to sub-acute rehab center where she spent two frustrating months.  This rehab will take about two weeks, maybe less if things go well.  Her anxiety level has been very high, partly because she has been given doses of cortizone, but mostly because of the uncertainty about rehab--when and where.  Now we have that answer, and it is one we like.  Hooray.  Merry Christmas to us!!

Merry Christmas  (or whatever greeting pleases you most) to all of you as well.
