Jnanadev: The Refutation of Knowledge (from Amritanubhav)
Advaita is so close to Taoism that it is hard to read one without thinking of the other.Compare this with TtC chapter 65 and see how each complements the other's understanding of "knowing" and "not knowing."
John of the Cross: I Came Into the Unknown
This must be my day for knowing unknowing and not knowing knowing. First there is the Tao te Ching's apparent praise of ignorance, then from the Hindu/Avaidha poem I learn that knowledge and ignorance consume each other and disappear into the one, and now here is John of the Cross, going "beyond all science" to find unknowing. Ah, the foolishness of the divine surpasses the wisdom of the world.
