curious statement
Me neither. But it gives me something to think about.

In the case of John Cash, here is a guy from white trash background, no encouragement, not much of a voice (though i love it!), Drug addict, religious fundamentalist, patriot--many of the things that discourage my interest in another human being. A man with a distinct dark side, which showed everywhere. A man in a lot of pain. Out of this pain came some really good songs which appealed to a lot of people, including me. Dumped his wife for June Carter, and they did some great songs together.

Re: walk the line
I think Cash wrote and sang "I'll Walk the Line" while still married to his first wife. So obviously he couldn't, or at least didn't (walk it). Some men believe that men are dogs, and that doesn't help. If we believe we have to stray, we will stray, If you can do it (walk the line) for ten years, it gets easy. If you do it for fifty years, it becomes almost impossible not to.
